this is a follow up to our earlier post on "things we watch that you don't." here
The Peruvian Anchovy harvest was terrible, Maverick's surf contest went off for first time in years. The PGA Tour West Coast swing was not as wet as we had wanted to see. The Midwest, however. is under total deluge. This mirrors the 1988 drought Summer as the extremely wet Spring and inability to get into fields put young plants in the Summer drought's path. The jet stream is still distorted but normalizing somewhat. This is the next characteristic we will be monitoring for the potential Omega block Summer. Bottom line: We continue to see much of our checklist for a repeat of the wild and fun "Buy beans, Sell bonds" Summer of 1988. Cue the "Sweet Child-o-Mine"
